Complications are rare but possible. For example, in older rabbits, females may have uterine cancer and males may have testicular lesions, both making the surgery complicated.

Our Participating Veterinarians
All of our participating veterinarians are skilled professionals who have performed many rabbit spays and neuters. Your rabbit will be given the same outstanding care as any one of their patients. These doctors have agreed to participate in the program as a public service. We extend a heartfelt THANK YOU to them all.

When making an appointment, please let the hospital know that you are coming in with the NJHRS certificate. Some of our vets are not taking in new clients, but WILL take you if you let them know you are with NJHRS.

NOTE: We apologize for the small list of participating vets and the time that you might have to wait for an appointment. A few of our vets lost their rabbit doctor and a number have scaled back accepting new clients due to a backlog of appointments and surgeries, due to the pandemic. We hope to be able to grow our list this year, but this is an EXTREMELY difficult time for the veterinary profession. This article in The Atlantic lays out the crisis in the veterinary profession at this time.
